Thanks Again To Everyone in the Clubwho contributed to yet another successful Golf Tournament this year!A special Thank You to: Fred E. for signing up a total of15 hole-sponsors; toJim & Kelley MacInnes and Ken D.for providing70 fabulous raffle prizes; to Donna Baldwin for the magnificent quilt for raffle; also to Kelley MacInnes for selling 80 coupon booksand of course, to Co-chairs, Anne Loveton-Jones, Mike Baldwin and their stalwart committees for 3-4 months of planning, ads, invitations and logisticsinvolved in this fundraiser.At the After Action Meeting on June 6, where the tournament was evaluated and discussed, it was decided that next year, in order to create maximum club participation, there will have to be committees of six each, so everyone can equally contribute!

To all the recent grads from BHS and Liberty HS, especially our clubscholarship recipients for this year: They include:
Pres. Sam Jones, Greg Elwell, Lisa G., Jim P., along with Doris, George, Nancy & Barry drove to the VA home in Yountville on Sat., June 16, to help out with the annual “Operation Gratitude” breakfast honoring the service of our veterans.They joined many active and reserve military personnel from Travis AFB in assisting and serving retired and disabled resident veterans for this moving and respectful event.
·Congrats to Scholars - Lauren Nukum – Band Scholarship, $1000.And, from LibertyHigh School, CourtneyMcCutheon and Parrish Scott both received $500 scholarships.Our club is proud to have awarded a total of $10,000 in high school scholarships with Best Wishes for fulfilling college careers to all these bright young scholars!
·Feed The Hungry - Donna Baldwin organized and cooked another wonderful community dinner at St. Paul’s Church on Wed., May 30 for local families in need with assistance from club members: Sam J., Lucie, Jim P., Nancy, Bob T., Barry, and Mike B. Donna always does a great job putting together these excellent meals on each fifth Wednesday of the month.Next chance to sign up and help her out is August 29th.
·PeaceJam Conferees– Families of 18 high school students and advisors from PeaceJam Solano traveled together to Corvalis, where the students attended workshops and presentations on actions that can create a more peaceful world.Presenters included Nobel Peace Laureate, Betty Williams (of Ireland) as well as ex-gang members who shared their stories of survival and transformation.Parrish Scott was especially enthusiastic about his participation in this worthwhile project for our youth.Thanks again to our own Tracee D. for the great job she’s doing with PeaceJam at Liberty High!
